PTBYLA is very excited to WELCOME back Head Coach, MATT GIGLOTTI. Matt began his Lacrosse career as a Panther for Upper
St. Clair where he was a 4 year letterman. During that time, Matt was named 1st team WPSLA All-League Midfielder for
both 1995 and 1996. Coach Giglotti was also named WPSLA Most Valuable Player his senior season while recording 63 goals
at midfield, a record that still stands! Upon graduation, Matt attended Penn State University where he played for 3
seasons. During that time, Matt was a 2 year starter, enroute to 3 NCLL Nathional Championships from 1999-2001.
Prior to coming aboard at PT, Matt was a Head Coach for the Upper St. Clair MS program for the past 4 years in addition to
coaching for the Pittsburgh Select program locally. WELCOME BACK.....COACH MATT GIGLOTTI.
If you can't attend
practice or especially a game; contact Coach Giglotti immediately at mattgiglotti@hotmail.com PARTICIPATION is a concern of all parents and our program. Assure your playing time by having great ATTENDANCE
- ATTITUDE - and work on your ABILITY! Every shot....every check.....every
ground ball GO HARD! BE FAST....BE STRONG! | Practice, practice, practice ... and more
practice! Lacrosse is the BEST team
sport in the Universe! No matter how good a player you are, you can't ot win a lacrosse game by yourself.
Teamwork is what gives a team strength. A team of average players who are playing well together will defeat a team of "stars"
who only play well as individuals.
Attendance and attitude at team practices are very critical to continued improvement
and team chemistry. Please make every attempt to be at practice. Be the best that you can be.... On days when no team practice
is scheduled ... Call other players to get a group together to toss the ball around. See who can develop the best left hand
skills. See how long you can throw and catch without dropping the ball. Can you go 10 passes without a drop? How about 25?
Or 50? Can't get a group together, find a wall to practice on your own. If you don't have a wall to throw against at home,
check out THE WALL at the new Hofbauer Field at Peterswood Park |
